Shed Talk October 13th- Neuro-aesthetics: Beauty, Art and Your Brain – Richard Wall

October 13 @ 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Neuro-aesthetics: Beauty, Art and Your Brain

Have you ever wondered why your brain likes beauty? Did you realise our brain is wired so that beautiful things make us happy? But what is beauty? Is Art the same? How does music change your mind?

Art transforms private feelings into a shared mirror of the human experience. Art can open up the mind,  changing mood and giving perspective shifts. But understanding why it does can completely change how you see the world.

Our October speaker is Richard Wall. An ex-school counsellor and family therapist, he’s an amateur artist also currently lecturing about neuropsychology at U3A.
